The Centre needs your support

Dear Community,

Three weeks ago on March 16th, the Iyengar Centre cancelled classes and programming indefinitely due to the covid-19 pandemic. Our priority is the welfare of our community and when it is deemed safe to do so by BC health officials, we will offer classes again.

Cancelling classes, as well as both the Jawahar and Heart of Yoga events, has severely affected the Centre’s current economic position. As a registered charity and non-profit organization, we depend on the financial support of our community to stay financially viable.

If you were registered for the March 2 – May 3 classes that were cancelled you can either:
• Donate your class fees back to the Iyengar Centre and receive a charitable tax receipt, or
• Have your class fees held as credit toward future classes in 2020.
We would be most grateful if you are able to donate your class fees. We will send you a charitable tax receipt.

Please email us at to indicate your choice. If we do not hear from you by email we will assume that you prefer to receive a credit toward future classes at the Centre.

Otherwise, please consider supporting Iyengar Yoga Centre through this extraordinarily difficult time by:
• Making a cash donation to the Centre for a charitable tax receipt, or
• Purchasing a gift certificate for future classes or workshops.
Please call 250-386-9642 to make a cash donation or to purchase a gift certificate. If no answer, please leave a message and we will return your call.

We want to assure you that we will respond to all inquiries by email. Our hearts are with all of you during this pandemic. The Iyengar Yoga Centre provides an anchor, offers hope and a sense of community in these turbulent times. Our senior teachers are currently offering yoga wisdom, teaching and practices weekly through our online channels. These are available on our website blog, through the Yog-e News, on Facebook and Instagram.

The Centre is eager to open our studio to classes and programming as soon as conditions return to normal. May you and your loved ones remain healthy and well.
